Day 1

Day 1 Johannesburg - Pondoro Safari Lodge

Departing from the Johannesburg OR Tambo Airport Bus Terminal by 07:00am, and travel eastwards via the N4 motorway through the Highveld of Gauteng and Mpumalanga, to the Balule Game Reserve in Limpopo.

The drive may take about six to seven hours, and you will stop along the way for refreshments. You should reach the lodge around mid-day and have time to freshen up and relax before departing for your first afternoon game drive on an open safari vehicle.

After sunset you will return to the lodge where a starlit dinner will await.

You overnight in your luxury accommodation at Pondoro Game Lodge and your lodging includes lunch and dinner.

Day 2

Day 2 Morning and Afternoon Safari Drives

Wake up early, enjoy a hot beverage and rusks before departing on a morning game drive to catch the rising sun and spot some nocturnal animals still out hunting.

You will return for a late breakfast at the lodge and can spend the rest of the day lazing around. Your afternoon game drive will depart at about 16:00 and return after sunset just in time for dinner around the fire.

You overnight in your luxury accommodation at Pondoro Game Lodge and your deal includes breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Get up before the sun and go on an early morning game drive in Balule Nature Reserve. It’s when animals are active and the light is at its most beautiful.

Day 3 Morning Safari Drive and Return to Johannesburg

On the last day of your stay you will get up early too, enjoy your hot beverage and rusks, and depart on the final game drive.

After experiencing another African sunrise, you return to the lodge for breakfast before departing to Johannesburg. You will arrive at your drop-off point around 17:00.

We use our fleet of Toyota Quantum's for group shared transfers to the National park from Johannesburg and Panorama Route Tours.

Pondoro Game Lodge

The Pondoro Game Lodge uses fully open safari vehicles, each seating up to six guests (unless a different arrangement is requested). These open vehicles offer an unobstructed 360-degree view, allowing you to fully experience the sights and sounds of the reserve.
