Day 1

Cape Town - Ivory Moon Safari Lodge

You'll make your own way to Cape Town Airport this morning for your local flight (included in the package) to Hoedspruit. Upon arrival, we will collect you and transfer you to Ivory Moon Lodge in the Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate, part of the Greater Kruger area.

After settling in, we head out for an afternoon game drive in an open safari vehicle. The reserve is home to Africa's Big Five. lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo. and you might also encounter giraffe, zebra, hippo, and many other species. As the sun sets over the savannah, we pause for sundowners in the bush before returning to the lodge.

Tonight, we serve you a memorable dinner under the stars, where you can share stories of the day's sightings around the fire.

Step into the untamed splendor of Ivory Moon Lodge, an intimate 4-star luxury bush lodge nestled in the vibrant Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate, just two kilometres from Hoedspruit. This exclusive lodge welcomes a maximum of 8 guests, offering a private escape into the heart of the African wilderness.

Day 2

9 Hour Kruger National Park Guided Safari Drive

We start early with tea and rusks before heading into Kruger National Park for a full-day safari adventure. From around 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM, we explore the renowned Orpen-Satara area, where chances of encountering lions are particularly high.

This region is known for its open grasslands, making it easier to spot predators on the move. We might also see elephants, buffalo, and perhaps a leopard resting in the shade.
Throughout the day, we pause for a relaxed brunch along the route, giving you time to share sightings and enjoy the bush atmosphere.
Your guide will also stop for refreshments as needed.

After approximately seven to eight hours immersed in this incredible wilderness, we return to Ivory Moon Lodge.

Here you can unwind and reflect on the day's encounters before gathering for dinner under the stars (weather permitting / subject to availability), served fireside at this private lodge on the edge of the park.

Experience the eerie calls of hyenas under a starlit sky, with playful bush babies and curious porcupines bringing the raw magic of the wild to life.

Each suite features a heated plunge pool, outdoor shower, and spacious deck, perfect for savoring the sights and sounds of the bush in luxurious comfort.

Savor authentic South African meals, masterfully prepared by a 5-star chef, celebrating the vibrant flavors of the region’s culinary heritage.

Day 3

Guided Panorama Route Tour

Breakfast is served at the Lodge before departing on a full tour of the Panorama Route, home to the 3rd Largest canyon in the world and the largest vegetated canyon in the work. The 8 hour tour takes you to sites such as, Gods Window, Bourkes Luck Potholes, the Blyde River Canyon, 3 Rondavals, 1 of the numerous waterfalls along the route and Graskop.

Lunch is on your own account at one of the many stops along route.

Your Kruger Safari Co experience will last 7 to 8 hours, allowing you to return to the camp with plenty of time to relax by the fire before dinner. Dinner under the stars (with a complementary glass of wine) awaits every night, providing a perfect setting to share your experiences with others and make new friends.

Alternatively - Swop the Panorama Route with another full day safari drive in the national park at no extra cost - needs to be booked in advance.

9 Hour Kruger National Park Guided Safari Drive

Today marks a return to the enchanting sights and sounds of the bush. You will rise early to be ready at 05:30 (when predators like lions, leopards, cheetahs, and hyenas are most active) for a full-day safari into Kruger National Park with The Kruger Safari Co.

Your Kruger Park safari will last 7 to 8 hours, so you should be back at the camp with enough time to relax before dinner by the fire. You will repeat this for the following two days, aiming to check off more creatures from your bucket list and explore new landscapes and habitats. You will have dinner under the stars at night, sharing your experiences with others and making new friends.

Morning Bush Walks and return to Cape Town

Embark on a 1.5-hour guided bushwalk through the Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate, where you’ll explore the area’s diverse flora, fauna, and animal tracks while observing plains game up close with expert guidance.

Afterwards, enjoy a hearty breakfast on the scenic deck before checking out and transferring back to the Hoedspruit Airport for your departure flight to Cape Town International Airport.
