The Klaserie Private Reserve is one of the largest privately owned nature reserves in South Africa and is part of the Greater Kruger National Park, with no fences separating it from Kruger itself. This setup allows migratory species to roam freely between the two areas, ensuring a complete safari experience in open game viewers in a region renowned for excellent game viewing.

Day 1

Day 1 Klaserie Nature Reserve

You will be collected from your address in Johannesburg early in the morning and travel eastwards via the N4 motorway through the Highveld of Gauteng and Mpumalanga, to the Klaserie Private Game Reserve in Limpopo.

The drive may take about six to seven hours, and you will stop along the way for refreshments. You should reach the lodge around mid-day and have time to freshen up and relax before departing on an open safari vehicle for your first afternoon game drive.

After watching the sun set you will return to the lodge where dinner will be ready.

Accommodation – Day 1

Baobab Ridge

Baobab Ridge Private Lodge is a small and intimate private lodge with only seven private free-standing suites that sleep a maximum of 16 guests. The main lodge features a bar and lounge area, satellite television, free Wi-Fi, outdoor terraces, guest bathrooms and a large dining room while outside is an open-air boma area with a fireplace and a swimming pool that overlooks the surrounding bush and a small waterhole.

Day 2 & 3

Day 2 & 3 Klaserie Nature Reserve

Wake up early in time to enjoy a hot beverage and rusks before departing on the morning game drive to catch the sun rising and spot some nocturnal animals still out hunting.

You will return to the lodge for a late breakfast and can spend the rest of the day lazing around.

Your afternoon game drive will depart at about 16:00 and return after sunset just in time for dinner under the African skies.
