Day 1

Day 1 Kapama Game Reserve

Guests are collected from OR Tambo International Airport bus terminal at 07:00am in a minivan.

The route to the Kruger National Park in the Mpumalanga Province takes you from the wide-open spaces of the Highveld, down the escarpment and through the scenic Lowveld region.

Arrive at Kapama Private Game Reserve mid-day, in time for a light lunch. Freshen up and relax before it’s time to depart on a late-afternoon game drive in Kapama Private Game Reserve.

Overnight at Kapama River Lodge. Guests dine in the lodge restaurant or outdoors on the wooden deck.

Collection from OR Tambo Airport Bus Terminal, departing at 07:00am in a shared minivan transfer to the National park.
Private transfer can be arranged at an extra cost.
Return local flights can be arranged on request.

Slow down and take a break as we serve you lunch.

Come with us on an afternoon / evening game drive in Kapama Private Game Reserve. The light is ideal for photos, temperatures are cooler and the animals are beginning to become more active.

Stay in luxury family-friendly accommodation at the largest safari resort in the reserve; starting and ending your day with outstanding Big 5 wildlife sightings on long game drives in beautiful bushveld surrounds.

Day 2

Day 2 Kapama Game Reserve

Wake up early (5h30-6h00) for hot beverages and rusks before departing for a 3-hour sunrise game drive in Kapama Private Game Reserve. Return to your lodge for a late breakfast and spend the rest of the day relaxing at the pool or treating yourself to a spa session. Depart late afternoon after High Tea for a 3-hour sunset game drive in the private reserve, with a pitstop for sundowners in the bush.

Overnight at Kapama River Lodge. Guests dine in the lodge restaurant or outdoors on the wooden deck.

Get up before the sun and go on an early morning game drive in Kapama Game Reserve. It’s when animals are active and the light is at its most beautiful.

Kapama River Lodge

The private game reserves that make up the Greater Kruger are unfenced, and the wildlife region shares an unfenced border with the Kruger National Park. You’re guaranteed outstanding wildlife sightings while enjoying the peace and tranquility of one of the most popular Big 5 safari destinations in South Africa.

Day 3

Day 3 Safari drives and guided walks

Enjoy a warm beverage before departing the lodge on an early morning safari drive. Your guide and tracker will spend time following up on spoor (animal foot prints) from the previous night, locating the animal movements and hoping to find members of the big 5. Return to the lodge for breakfast and spend the heat of the day in your accommodation. (Optional bush walk after breakfast).

You will meet your guide in the late afternoon after enjoying lunch before departing on an afternoon safari drive that returns back to the lodge after dark less has fallen, just in time for dinner.

Go on an early morning game drive in Kapama Game Reserve, and you’ll soon discover why it’s the favorite activity of the day for many safari-goers.

Day 4

Day 4 Morning Safari Drive and return to Johannesburg

Head out early to enjoy your last game drive in Kapama Private Game Reserve. Return to your lodge for breakfast and be ready to depart mid-morning for the return trip to Johannesburg. The journey home takes you via the historic towns of Graskop and Sabie on the famous Panorama Route.

Arrive back in Johannesburg late afternoon; drop off at OR Tambo International Airport or a hotel/guest house in Johannesburg or Pretoria by special arrangement. Please confirm exact timings with your MoAfrika representative before booking a connecting domestic or international flight.

In Kapama Game Reserve, your early morning game drive gets you close to the wildlife when they’re most active, and the landscapes are at their most beautiful.

Departure from lodge and return to the Johannesburg OR Tambo Airport Bus Terminal in a shared minivan transfer.

Comfortable, Air-conditioned Toyota Quantum minivan seating up to 13 persons.
We use our fleet of Toyota Quantum's for group shared transfers to the National park from Johannesburg.

Kapama Private Game Reserve

Kapama Private Game Reserve uses fully open safari vehicles, each seating up to six guests (unless a different arrangement is requested). These open vehicles offer an unobstructed 360-degree view, allowing you to fully experience the sights and sounds of the reserve.
