Day 1

Day 1 Balule Nature Reserve

Departing from the Johannesburg OR Tambo Airport Bus Terminal by 07:00am, you will travel east through the farmlands and onto the Kruger National Park.

It’s a 5-6 hour drive from Johannesburg to Bundox Explores Lodge in the Balule Private Game reserve and travel to the town of Hoedspruit with scheduled stops for bathroom breaks and leg stretches.

Arrive mid-day in the Balule Private Game reserve and book into the Bundox Explores Lodge. Enjoy a light meal and freshen up before departing late afternoon for a game drive on an open safari vehicle. Sundowners at a special vantage point.

Bundox Explorer Camp

Explore the area and all it has to offer from your base at Bundox Explorer Camp inside Balule Nature Reserve. The camp's facilities include A swimming pool, a wildlife viewing deck and an outside fireplace.

Day 2

Day 2 Balule Nature Reserve

Glorious days relaxing at the camp; sandwiched between an early morning and late afternoon game drive with sundowners at a special vantage point.

Safaris are conducted on the private Balule game reserve, offering a wonderful opportunity to find the Big 5 and other animals that inhabit the reserve.

Enjoy a 3-hour sunrise game drive in Balule Private Game Reserve. Return for a hearty breakfast; relax around camp, bird watch at a hide or join a ranger for a guided bush walk. Depart late afternoon for a sunset game drive.

Your early morning game drive in Balule Nature Reserve will quickly become the favorite part of your safari day, with animals out and active.

Accommodation – Day 2

Bundox Explorer Camp

Each has twin beds with sprung bases and comfortable divan-style mattresses, dressed in cool cotton sheets and lightweight duvets. Additional blankets are kept in a wooden kist for the cooler months and crisp winter nights. The camp is off-grid with a solar system that provides power in each tent, enabling you to recharge your devices and camera batteries as needed. A fan provides the perfect cooling breeze whenever you need it.

Day 3

Day 3 Final day with us

Set off as the sun is rising for your last game drive in Balule Game Reserve. Enjoy a late breakfast on your return before checking out. We depart late-morning for the return journey to Johannesburg. Arrive at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg late afternoon (approx 17h00).

Comfortable, Air-conditioned Toyota Quantum minivan seating up to 13 persons.
We use our fleet of Toyota Quantum's for group shared transfers to the National park from Johannesburg and Panorama Route Tours.
