Southern Camp, the newest addition to Kapama Private Game Reserve, is designed for families.

The camp offers 15 luxury en-suite suites and 10 newly built villas, including 3 spacious family villas, all featuring air-conditioning and stylish African-safari chic decor. Family villas come with private plunge pools, while all guests can unwind on the expansive wooden deck by the main pool. Day 1 OR Tambo Airport to the Kapama Southern Camp

Guests are collected from OR Tambo International Airport by 07:00am.

The route to the Kruger National Park in the Mpumalanga Province takes you from the wide-open spaces of the Highveld, down the escarpment and through the scenic Lowveld region.

Arrive at Kapama Private Game Reserve mid-day, in time for a light lunch. Freshen up and relax before it’s time to depart on a late-afternoon game drive in Kapama Private Game Reserve.
Overnight at Kapama Southern Camp. Guests dine in the lodge restaurant or at the outdoor boma.

Day 2

Day 2 Morning and Afternoon Safari Drives

Wake up early (5h30-6h00) for hot beverages and rusks before departing for a 3-hour sunrise game drive in Kapama Private Game Reserve. Return to your lodge for a late breakfast and spend the rest of the day relaxing at the pool or treating yourself to a spa session. Depart late afternoon after High Tea for a 3-hour sunset game drive in the private reserve, with a pitstop for sundowners in the bush.

Go on an early morning game drive in Kapama Game Reserve, and you’ll soon discover why it’s the favorite activity of the day for many safari-goers.

You’re guaranteed outstanding wildlife sightings while enjoying the peace and tranquility of one of the most popular Big 5 safari destinations in South Africa.

Day 3

Day 3 Kapama Game Reserve

Enjoy a warm beverage before departing the lodge on an early morning safari drive. Your guide and tracker will spend time following up on spoor (animal foot prints) from the previous night, locating the animal movements and hoping to find members of the big 5. Return to the lodge for breakfast and spend the heat of the day in your accommodation. (Optional bush walk after breakfast).
You will meet your guide in the late afternoon after enjoying lunch before departing on an afternoon safari drive that returns back to the lodge after dark less has fallen, just in time for dinner.

In Kapama Game Reserve, your early morning game drive gets you close to the wildlife when they’re most active, and the landscapes are at their most beautiful.

Kapama Southern Camp

Kapama Southern Camp is a family-friendly Big 5 safari destination in the Greater Kruger National Park, located in Kapama Private Game Reserve. The reserve spans some 13 000 hectares, made up of lush savanna grasslands and riverine forests with two perennial rivers running through the reserve. The abundance of water attracts a rich selection of game and birdlife.

Day 4

Day 4 Kapama Game Reserve

Another full day in the African bush, sees you enjoying a guided morning safari drive followed by breakfast relaxation time, lunch and then an eventful afternoon safari drive. Return to the lodge for a home cooked meal.

Kapama Southern Camp

The abundance of water attracts a rich selection of game and birdlife. Southern Camp is the newest addition to Kapama Private Game Reserve and was set up with the whole family in mind. There are 15 luxury ensuite Suites and 10 new-built Villas, which includes 3 spacious Family Villas. Each suite and villa is air-conditioned and stylishly decorated in a contemporary fusion of African-safari chic décor.

Day 5

Day 5 Final day with us

Head out as the sun is rising to enjoy your last game drive in Kapama Private Game Reserve. Return to your lodge for breakfast and be ready to depart mid-morning for the return trip to Johannesburg.

Arrive back in Johannesburg late afternoon; drop off at OR Tambo International Airport or a hotel/guest house in Johannesburg or Pretoria by special arrangement. Please confirm exact timings with your Kruger Safari Company representative before booking a connecting domestic or international flight.

Comfortable, Air-conditioned Toyota Quantum minivan seating up to 13 persons.
We use our fleet of Toyota Quantum's for group shared transfers to the National park from Johannesburg.

Kapama Private Game Reserve
