Introduction

The lodge is situated in Motlala Game Reserve, part of the Greater Kruger National Park. The tour includes a sunset game drive in Motlala Game Reserve, a full day in the iconic Kruger National Park, and a magical sunrise bushwalk along the Klaserie River.

Evenings are spent under the stars, savoring an authentic African bushveld braai (barbecue). The tour concludes with a scenic drive back to Johannesburg via the Panorama Route, where you can admire the Three Rondavels overlooking the Blyde River Canyon.

Day 1

Day 1 Johannesburg to Tremisana Game Lodge

Guests are collected from OR Tambo International Airport or a pre-arranged hotel/guest lodge within the city precinct of Johannesburg or Pretoria. The route to the Kruger National Park in the Mpumalanga Province takes you from the wide-open spaces of the Highveld, down the escarpment and through the scenic Lowveld region.

Stopover for lunch along the way (own expense). Arrive at the Tremisana Lodge mid-day; book into your accommodation, freshen up and rest. Transfer to an open Landcruiser for an exciting game drive. As darkness falls, we stop at the famous Marula Boma for a memorable Bush BBQ. Overnight in air-conditioned ensuite chalet.

Expect first-rate Big Five viewing at Tremisana Lodge, which stands in the heart of Balule Nature Reserve, within the vast African wilderness of the Greater Kruger ecosystem. Guided game drives, tasty meals and modern air-conditioned chalets are all part of the safari experience offered at Tremisana, which also overlooks a waterhole where elephants regularly come to drink.

Day 2 Full Day Kruger Park Safari Drive

Early morning wake-up for hot beverages and rusks before setting off to a remote corner of Balule Game Reserve for a 4-hour guided bush walk along the Olifants River with an armed safari guide. Enjoy the sights and sounds of a real bushveld experience while keeping a keen eye on the thick bush for the Big Five and an abundance of antelope, predators and indigenous birds.

Return to Tremisana Game Lodge for a late breakfast and refreshments; relax and freshen up before it’s time for mid-afternoon tea and the afternoon game drive which takes your from Balule to your accommodation in Motlala Game Reserve.

Overnight in tented accommodation at Marc’s Tented Lodge.

Day 3

Day 3 Morning Bush Walk, Panorama Route Highlights and Return to Johannesburg

Wake up early and set off with a professional safari guide for a 1-hour sunrise bush walk along the Klaserie River. Return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast.

Depart mid-morning for your return trip to Johannesburg; travelling via the Panorama Route to see the beautiful Three Rondavels that overlook the Blyde River Canyon. Stopfor a bite to eat and refreshments along the way.

Arrive late-afternoon (17h00) in Johannesburg; drop-off at OR Tambo International Airport or your hotel or guest lodge.
