Bordering the national park, with no dividing fences, the Sabi Sand is world-renowned for excellent game viewing and you can be sure of game drives and bush walks that will live up to your imagination. Apart from close encounters with the Big 5, you might even be treated on some wild dog or cheetah sightings.

Day 1

Day 1 Johannesburg to Elephant Plains Safari Lodge

Guests are collected from OR Tambo International Airport bus terminal at 07:00am in a minivan.

The route to the Kruger National Park in the Mpumalanga Province takes you from the wide-open spaces of the Highveld, down the escarpment and through the scenic Lowveld region.

During the long six hours’ drive you will stop for refreshments and reach the lodge around mid-day.

You can first freshen up and relax a while before departing with a guide on an open safari vehicle for your first afternoon game drive in the reserve.

Back at the lodge a scrumptious dinner in friendly ambience will await you.

You will be transferred from the airport in Johannesburg Airport.

Slow down and take a break as we serve you lunch.

Get to know the area and all it has to offer when you stay at Elephant Plains Game Lodge inside Sabi Sand Game Reserve. The lodge's facilities include A swimming pool, A bar and Air conditioning in all rooms.

Day 2 & 3

Day 2 & 3 Morning and Afternoon Safari Drives

You will rise early and be served a selection of hot beverages and rusks before departing on your 3-hour morning game drive, with the sun rising in the east.

On return to the lodge you can enjoy a late breakfast and choose to spend the rest of the day at the pool, library or lazing around.

Your afternoon open vehicle game drive with an expert guide will commence at about 16:00, to return in time for another starlit dinner.

Activities Day 2

05:30am / 06:30am depending on the Season

Your early morning game drive in Sabi Sand Game Reserve will quickly become the favorite part of your safari day, with animals out and active.
