Introduction

Manyeleti Game Reserve, meaning “Place of Stars,” is the unfenced northern extension of the world-renowned Sabi Sands Game Reserve, bordering the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve and lying directly adjacent to the iconic Kruger National Park.

Your safari experience includes a stay at the charming Ndzhaka Tented Camp, an intimate bush camp located within the heart of the reserve. Surrounded by untouched wilderness, the camp offers an authentic safari atmosphere while still providing comfortable tented accommodation, warm hospitality, and excellent access to some of the best Big 5 wildlife viewing areas in South Africa.

Day 1

Manyeleti Game Reserve

Your safari adventure begins with a 7:00 AM departure from Johannesburg OR Tambo International Airport Bus Terminal. We travel together in a shared minivan to the Greater Kruger region. Upon arrival at Ndzhaka Tented Camp, you can settle into your safari tent and enjoy a late lunch. The camp waterhole often attracts wildlife throughout the day, so keep your camera ready.

In the late afternoon, we head out on a sunset game drive through Manyeleti Game Reserve. As darkness falls, we continue with an exciting night drive using spotlights to search for nocturnal animals. After returning to camp, we gather for dinner under the African sky before you retire for the evening.

In the afternoon, we head out for a game drive in the Manyeleti Game Reserve, where we might encounter lions, leopards, and large herds of elephants roaming freely across the open plains.

Accommodation Day 1

Ndzhaka Camp

Tented camp Inside Manyeleti Game Reserve

Ndzhaka Tented Camp is tucked away within a dense riverine forest in Manyeleti Game Reserve. The camp offers five charming rustic safari tents, each featuring open-air en-suite bathrooms with hot showers and toilets, raised wooden decks, comfortable double beds, fans, power points, and mosquito nets.

Relax on your private deck overlooking the camp waterhole, where elephants, nyalas, and other wildlife are often seen visiting throughout the day.

Day 2

Manyeleti Game Reserve

We start the morning exploring Manyeleti Game Reserve, a community-owned area that borders Kruger National Park and Sabi Sand. In the soft morning light, animals are very active. Cheetahs prefer this land for hunting, so keep your camera ready.

Returning to Ndzhaka Camp, we have time for breakfast and relax on our private deck.

In the late afternoon, we venture out again to explore the reserve. As it gets dark, we use lights to find creatures that are active at night. This adds a unique touch to our experience. Back at camp, we have dinner, reflecting on a day filled with wildlife and beautiful landscapes.

Activities Day 2

Set out before sunrise in Manyeleti, wrapped in a blanket as the bush awakens. This is when predators return from the hunt and grazers emerge to feed. The soft light is perfect for photography, and chances of sightings are high in the cool morning air.

Day 3

Final day with us

Early this morning, we take you on one final game drive through Manyeleti Game Reserve. In the soft morning light, we might encounter lions, elephants, or leopards as they move through the bush. This is your last chance to experience the sights and sounds of wild Africa before we return to camp for breakfast.

After your meal, we begin the journey back to Johannesburg. The road transfer takes us through the beautiful landscapes of South Africa, giving you time to reflect on your safari memories. We arrive at Johannesburg Airport between 5:30 PM and 6:00 PM, where your safari adventure with us comes to an end.

Go on an early morning game drive in the Manyeleti Game Reserve, and you’ll soon discover why it’s the favorite activity of the day for many safari-goers.

Our vehicles

At The Kruger Safari Co., we use comfortable 13-seater vehicles for all transfers, trusted local airlines, and specially adapted open safari vehicles (depending on the lodge) to ensure the best wildlife viewing experience.

Transfer Vehicles from Johannesburg

Comfortable, Air-conditioned Toyota Quantum minivan seating up to 13 persons.
We use our fleet of Toyota Quantum's for group shared transfers to the National park from Johannesburg and Panorama Route Tours.

Nkzhaka Tented Camp

As per government regulations, we make use of Open sided safari vehicles for all safari packages that stay or visit the Kruger National park.
