Day 1

Day 1 Johannesburg to Arathusa Safari Lodge

Departing from the Johannesburg OR Tambo at midday on a 50min flight to the Hoedspruit Airport. The flight route to the Kruger National Park in the Mpumalanga Province takes you over the wide-open spaces of the Highveld, down the escarpment and through the scenic Lowveld region

On arrival at the Hoedspruit Airport, you will be transferred by road to the Arathusa Safari lodge

Freshen up before it is time to depart on a late-afternoon game drive in the reserve. Dinner will be served in the boma under the stars.

Day 2 & 3

Day 2 & 3 Sabi Sand Game Reserve

You will rise early and be served a selection of hot beverages and rusks before departing on your 3-hour morning game drive, with the sun rising in the east.

On return to the lodge you can enjoy a late breakfast and choose to spend the rest of the day at the pool, library or lazing around.

Your afternoon open vehicle game drive with an expert guide will commence at about 16:00, to return in time for another starlit dinner.

Accommodation – Day 2 & 3

Arathusa Safari Lodge

Our eight Waterhole Facing Suites face the waterhole in front of the lodge.

Each Suite is uniquely designed, with fresh interiors and a focus on light and space. Each has a bathroom en-suite, with shower, as well as a private outdoor shower and veranda. Amenities include a mini bar (stocked with a selection of beverages on request), an electronic safe, hairdryer, air conditioning, direct-dial telephone, mosquito net and tea/ coffee making facilities.

In keeping with the traditional natural safari experience, there are no televisions in the Suites at Arathusa. Guests are, however, able to connect to Wi-Fi in the bar/lounge areas with our compliments.

Day 4

Day 4 Morning Safari Drive and flight to Cape Town

You wake up early again for a hot beverage and rusk, before departing on your last morning game drive in the reserve.

After you have witnessed another African sunrise, you return to the lodge for breakfast before departing to the Hoedspruit Airport for your flight to the Cape Town Airport.

Get up before the sun and go on an early morning game drive in Sabi Sand Game Reserve. It’s when animals are active and the light is at its most beautiful.
